VAB’s Condon Passes Away

“It is with deep sadness that I share with you the passing of Jim Condon, our longtime executive director”

MONTPELIER, Vt. — Wally Caswell, president of the Vermont Association of Broadcasters, has reported that Executive Director Jim Condon has passed away.

A release said: “It is with deep sadness that I share with you the passing of Jim Condon, our longtime executive director.”

It added, “As many of you know, Jim had been ill for a while battling esophageal cancer. Jim is just the 2nd executive director in the VAB’s history and has served the state and this association magnificently over the years. I can tell you that in the days and weeks leading up to his passing, the comments we received from around the state, as well as from outside organizations, regarding Jim were glowing. His work for us at the state level was great, and is work in Washington and on the National level was excellent and valued by one and all.”

“We will remember Jim fondly for his jovial personality, great “pipes” and invaluable service to the broadcasting community of Vermont.”

Funeral details were not included at the time.
