Welcome to the 2008 NAB Radio Show.

In his opening comments, David Rehr, president and CEO of the NAB, detailed the status and progress of several NAB projects. He also called on broadcasters to promote a positive attitude about radio and not reinforce the negative feelings that abound.
David Pogue, columnist for the New York Times, provided the keynote speech. He discussed emerging technology and its effects to and opportunities for radio.

The first Advancement in Radio Technology Awards were presented at the 2008 NAB Radio Show.
Radio magazine Editor Chriss Scherer hosted the reception and awards presentation ceremony. The reception was sponsored by Orban.
The crowd anticipates the announcement of the winner in the next category.
