GALION, Ohio. � Even before Hurricane Irma tore through Florida, an iHeartMedia station experienced some bad luck.
Crawford County Now reports that WFXN(FM)�s tower collapsed after a run in with an EF-2 tornado over Labor Day weekend. The tower site was on North Market Street south of US 30 in Galion, Ohio. Its AM tower remained standing but was also damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
The station is operated remotely from studios in Mansfield, Ohio, and the towers are leased out by�Vertical�Bridge Holdings in Boca Raton, Fla.
WFXN originally signed on in 1974 using the call sign WQLX. �
