NTP Site Systems Ground Integrity Monitor (Ground Hog)

NTP Site Systems Ground Integrity Monitor (Ground Hog)

Aug 20, 2010 12:00 PM, By Erin Shipps, associate editor

Real-time ground system monitor

The Ground Integrity Monitor (Ground Hog) monitors and reports the quality of earth ground and connection integrity. Developed and extensively field-tested by AEMC Instruments, the Ground Hog uses time-tested earth resistance and current measurement technology to record the data. It can facilitate multiple sensors for recording earth resistance/current and/or continuity of underground copper networks and ground buss systems. A separate input is available for monitoring the output of any transducer to measure any chosen parameter such as door alarms, low voltage and low fuel. The sensors are fully sealed, can be buried underground and will withstand the harshest outdoor conditions. The main unit is permanently installed indoors. It can be programmed to collect data at user-defined intervals, record alarms with user-defined conditions and record the transducer-based physical/electrical parameter.
