SBE Webinar Series Explores the �Network of Networks�

The Society of Broadcast Engineer”s Advanced IP Networking Webinar series continues with part four: �Addressing the Network of Networks,� July 24 from 2-3:30 p.m. (EST).
This live educational session will build on this series by developing an IP addressing scheme for the segmented or layer network architecture developed throughout the series. A focus upon efficient use of public IPv4 address space will be provided in addition to integration of private IPv4 address space. The course will include:
� 10 minute IP Networking Fundamentals Review� IPv4 Addressing Fundamentals� Subnetting for Performance, Security and Policy� Public vs Private: Integrating NAT� Developing an IP Addressing Plan� Summary & Best Practice Review
The series instructor is Wayne M. Pecena, CPBE, 8-VSB, AMD, DRB, CBNE. He is the assistant director of educational broadcast services in the office of information technology at Texas A&M University. He serves as the director of engineering of The Enterprise Videoconference and Data Network serving the Texas A&M University System and Public Broadcast stations KAMU(TV), and KAMU(FM) serving the Brazos Valley area. Pecena has over 35 years of broadcast telecommunications experience and holds amateur radio operator license N1WP.
The completion of this webinar qualifies for 1 recertification credit, identified under Category I of the Recertification Schedule for SBE Certifications.
