Univision Local Media has named Sabina Widmann-Hernandez as vice president, general manager and director of Sales of Univision stations in San Diego, Calif., reporting to Univision Local Media EVP Jaime Jiménez.
Widmann-Hernandez will oversee all aspects of station operations including ad sales, marketing, production and promotions for KLNV(FM) and KLQV(FM).
“Sabina has been a part of our Univision family in San Diego for more than 10 years now,” said Jiménez. “With her leadership in sales, we raised the profile of our stations and I am confident that as the general manager and director of sales, Sabina will continue to help elevate our brand and deliver for our consumers, partners and clients.”
Widmann-Hernandez has been with Univision since 2005, when she joined as an account executive for Univision stations in San Diego. In 2012, she went on to serve as the director of sales of Univision stations in San Diego, where she was responsible for advertising sales. Prior to joining Univision, Widmann-Hernandez was an account executive at Clear Channel Communications.
Before joining the broadcast industry, Widmann-Hernandez worked for several nonprofit organizations including regional development manager at Earth Share of California; membership/ special events associate at Environmental Health Coalition; and co-faculty and student affairs manager at School for Field Studies, Center for Coastal Studies Baja California, Mexico.
