The FCC reaffirmed a $10,000 fine against Mercius Dorvilus for operating a pirate station on 92.7 MHz in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Dorvilus didn’t respond to the initial Notice of Inquiry and proposed penalty issued by the Enforcement Bureau’s Miami Office, according to the agency. That’s why it recommitted to the penalty.
Dorvilus has 30 days to pay or the case may be turned over to the Justice Department for collection.
