11 Software has added to its Web Jockey line of radio automation software with the Jockey Pro LT, a broadcasting automation software package designed for use by LPFMs, Internet radio stations, unmanned stations and other small operators. The software can give a computer the functions of an audio mixer, 24-hour programmable scheduler, MP3 & WAV playback system and jock box, which saves money on buying a variety of equipment. The software is available for $99. The system schedules each hour by calculating the length of each audio selection and the Mark In and Mark Out times used during cross-fades. It uses a 24-hour clock with Internet Time Sync for accurate scheduling. It also has broadcasting functions for multiple categories, advertising insertion, news, IDs, jingles and liners.
