Ibiquity Digital said that the 1,500th HD Radio station has gone on the air: Clear Channel’s rock-formatted WROV(FM) in Roanoke, Va.
The announcement was made during this week’s NAB Radio Show in Charlotte, N.C.
Ibiquity President/CEO Robert Struble said about 500 stations converted this year. “That’s more than one a day.”
Also, more than 700 multicast stations are now on the air.
