2wcom Announces Discontinuation of Various Products

The manufacturer offers a succession strategy for receivers, encoders and other equipment reaching "end of life"

2wcom has announced the discontinuation of eight different products and published a list of suggested successors.

The manufacturer said its innovation strategy “involves not only the introduction of new products and technologies, but also the discontinuation of products that reached the end of their lifecycle.”

In a statement on its website, 2wcom also said, “The persistent shortage in the procurement of components played its part in accelerating this process.”

The list of discontinued products includes a couple RDS encoders, several satellite receivers, a DAB+ inserter and extractor, and an FM to TS gateway. See the detailed list of discontinued products here.

2wcom said it will be discontinuing sales of the listed products and use its remaining stock of key components for repairs. “New spare parts can be obtained as long as components and materials are available,” it said. In any case, technical support will remain available for customers.

2wcom is a manufacturer, supplier and system integrator of pro audio broadcast gear for audio over IP, satellite, DAB+ and FM.
