360 Systems Changes Marketing Plan, Won’t Exhibit at NAB

A manufacturer of digital video and audio gear said it wont participate as an NAB exhibitor this year.

A manufacturer of digital video and audio gear said it won’t participate as an NAB exhibitor this year.

“As a 36-year old company, we have a long relationship with the NAB convention,” said Robert Easton, president of 360 Systems, in an announcement this week.

“We are finding that changes in broadcasting have narrowed the job titles attending, and other kinds of marketing tactics and activities are becoming increasingly attractive. We want to allocate our resources for best contact with customers, and distribute our exposure across the entire year, rather than concentrating on four days at the NAB convention.”

He said the company is hiring more staff including regional sales reps and will take part in more road show exhibitions, regional and dealer shows and SMPTE meetings, plus demos at its California headquarters. Among its products are the Instant Replay 2 and Short/cut editor.
