‘CD Preview’ Is a Focus of Spitzer Action

The most serious allegations brought by Eliot Spitzer against Entercom focus on its CD Preview and CD Challenge programs, in which radio executives allegedly solicited payments to improve a song’s position on national airtime charts, the LA Times reports.
The newspaper also says Entercom and “at least two other radio companies” have talked with the FCC about settling an investigation into payola practices.
