Savvy traveler tips?
That’s just one type of content you’ll find on a new Consumer Help Center launched by the Federal Communications Commission and announced by Joel Gurin, chief of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau.
The goal is to make it easier for consumers to learn about the FCC’s work and to “take action,” Gurin stated in the announcement.
What’s on the site? Topics include the FCC’s broadband speed test, so you can test your own service’s speed; a library of fact sheets about telecom subjects; links to issues like privacy; links to file complaints; info on bill shock and early termination fees, “two common issues that affect wireless customers”; and, yes, savvy traveler tips, offering advice on making phone calls when you are abroad.
