ABA Engineering Academy Class Next Week

Advanced Radio Engineering course up next

So you’ve passed through one of the Alabama Broadcasters Association Engineering Academy’s Radio Broadcast Engineering classes (most recent Feb. 16–20), what next?

Why, the Advanced Radio Engineering Class, next week, March 9–10.

Engineering Academy Director Larry Wilkins explains: “The Advanced Radio Engineering class will go more into detail on various technical subjects than we do in the regular class. The advanced class is primarily for people already in engineering. Subjects to be covered are analog and digital audio processing, digital audio workstations, AM antenna system design/installation/maintenance and solid state transmitter design/installation.”

He adds, “Guest presenters include Stu Graham with Graham Brock Technical consultants and Jeff Welton with Nautel. Those attending may also take the SBE Certified Broadcast Radio Engineer (CBRE) exam.” Cost for the course is nothing though there is a fee for the optional SBE exam.

The course is held at the ABA Training Center in Hoover, Ala.
