ABA Preps New Engineering Seminar

Late November sessions look at digital technologies, transmission facilities and more

The Alabama Broadcasters Association’s venerable Engineering Academy has scheduled an Advanced Radio Engineering Seminar for Nov. 27–29, at the ABA Training Center in Hoover, Ala.

Expected participants and topics include: Kirk Harnack of The Telos Alliance on audio over IP and AES67, plus streaming audio; Frank Foti of The Telos Alliance on the latest in digital audio processing; Jeff Welton of Nautel on transmitter site layout and grounding; Jeff Dempsey of WideOrbit on configuration of radio automation systems;

Jim Coleman of AT&T on tower construction and maintenance; Dale Ladner of Shively Labs on care and feeding of FM antenna systems; and a representative of Presonus discussing configuration of digital audio workstations.
