Abacast, a software and Internet services for radio provider, and SESAC, a performance rights group, have signed an agreement.
In the framework, users of either service can receive discounts on service with the other.
Central to Abacast’s side is the Clarity digital streaming management system, which SESAC licensees will be able to use for a discount. The cloud-based Clarity provides a range of support including digital ad management, Internet and mobile audio streaming tools. It also offers business modules such as audience metrics and SoundExchange reporting.
SESAC Vice President of Industry Relations and Business Communication Gregory Riggle said on choosing Abacast, “It is clear that the world is moving towards digital delivery … Content providers have a huge stake in radio’s future.”
