ABC News Radio launched “ABC FM News” in afternoon drive.
The organization said affiliates include WPLJ(FM) New York. Other affiliates include WDRQ (Detroit), WRQX (Washington), and KUFX (San Jose).
The content was developed following research in conjunction with a national perceptual study and focus group testing conducted by Harker Research.
“The research found that two-thirds of FM music P1s wanted more news and information than they currently received on their music stations,” ABC stated, referring to P1 loyal listeners.
“In addition, listeners were interested in an even mix of hard news and relevant lifestyle segments that were both entertaining and informative.”
