Movie fan Web site Movies.com and ABC News Radio have launched a series of weekly entertainment audio features to be made available to more than 4,500 ABC Radio affiliates. Beginning April 12, ABC News Radio will produce a series of 60-second entertainment updates comprised of branded content from Movies.com, to be issued four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Monday’s feature is “The Movies.com Box Office Report by Bill Diehl,” a guide to the previous weekend’s box-office winners; Wednesday’s feature is “The BuzzBin,” buzz on the week’s most talked about movies in production; Thursday’s feature is “ABC What’s Coming on Movies.com,” a guide to what’s new in theatres this week; and Friday’s feature is “Cinemaflies,” a topical compendium of DVDs inspired by current events.
The radio segments, which can also be heard via links to the Movies.com site, include a regular “spotlight” segment presented by the site’s sponsors.
“This is a great partnership,” said Steve Jones, vice president and general manager of radio for ABC News. “ABC Radio listeners want movie information that’s accurate and entertaining; ABC Radio affiliates want familiar brands – Movies.com delivers for both our listeners and affiliates.”
