AccuWeather Scoops Up WeatherData’s Media Division

Joel Myers has snapped up a competitor. AccuWeather is expanding its radio and newspaper client base through the acquisition of the media division of WeatherData Inc. This brings the AccuWeather client base to 851 newspapers. AccuWeather has started service to the radio stations formerly served by WeatherData. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. AccuWeather is in State College, Pa. WeatherData is out of Wichita, Kansas.
