Ad Sales Up 1% in January, Helped by National

National radio sales ticked up 6% in January. That’s the good news; the bad news is that local sales, which constitute the bulk of the industry’s revenue, were off 1%, so overall radio revenue, according to the RAB, grew 1% in January compared to the same month last year.
Non-spot revenue was up 10%.
