The White House sent the last nomination to round out the FCC commissioners to the Senate for confirmation this week. The nomination of Jonathan Adelstein, a former aide to Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., was delayed for several months due to disputes between Daschle, Senate Minority Leader Trent Lott, R-Miss, and between Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. and other senators. The Senate Commerce Committee has slated a confirmation hearing for next week.
