ADRN, du Bring Radio to Mobiles

Partnership agreement includes exclusive downloads, content

Emirates mobile telephone operator du has joined with the Abu Dhabi Radio Network to bring programming from the Emarat FM (fm??????) program “Jalasat” (????) to du customers.

The weekly “Jalasat” (Sessions) features live performances artists from across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. du customers will have exclusive access to “Jalasat” on-air content, as mobile downloads and other music-based products.

As part of the year-long collaboration, Emarat FM will air an SMS text message-based for du customers. The winner will be able to attend a “Jalasat” session and meet a favorite performer.

ADRN Director Abdulrahman Awadh al Harithi stated: “du has been quick to recognize that it can harness the power of top-quality music broadcasting through sponsorship to build brand awareness and loyalty among its target audience, as well as to reach out to new consumers.”

“Exclusive mobile content related to music is a key differentiator for telecom companies, meaning our role as an operator has extended beyond the delivery of voice services. … With this [partnership] we will showcase the who’s who in UAE local music talent and the entire GCC region; it will also strengthen our bonding with our customers and music lovers” stated Hala Badri, du executive vice president for brand and communications.
