Mobile music services provider mSpot has signed with Navteq’s Traffic.com to bring live traffic content to mSpot Radio.
mSpot subscribers will receive a mobile optimized version of Traffic.com’s JamCast audio traffic reports for approximately 30 U.S. cities.
mSpot is implementing an ad-based model offered by Traffic.com and will receive a share of ad revenue in return for distribution across mobile operators carrying mSpot Radio.
Content from Traffic.com will provide mSpot Radio subscribers with on-air traffic updates every 10 minutes.
mSpot Radio offers 200 channels of music and other content from companies including CBS Radio, Clear Channel, Fox Sports, Marketwatch, NPR, Radio Disney and now Traffic.com. It also carries approximately 100 live radio stations from around the country.
