Broadcast equipment maker AEQ has acquired 100 percent of Spanish-based firm Kroma Telecom S.A. AEQ is also headquartered in Spain but maintains an international presence.

Under the agreement, the Kroma’s manufacturing and technical facilities along with a majority of its personnel will relocate to the headquarters of AEQ.

Kroma manufactures TFT broadcast video monitors as well as a full range of digital intercom systems and panels.

The move allows AEQ to add two product lines for TV broadcasters to its portfolio. It also reinforces the company’s R&D and sales divisions, says AEQ. The company’s reseller network will also be reinforced with Kroma’s dealers and distributors as well as its office in Mexico.
