AEQ to Replace DR-100 With PAW 120

AEQ recently debuted the PAW 120 handheld digital recorder at an overseas broadcast show. The company says this model will replace the DR-100 next year.
Features include a speaker, internal 512 MB memory, aluminum case and LED dual-color display. It uses two AA dry cells or rechargeable batteries, and appears as a USB removable external device, compatible with Windows and Mac OS.
Users can record and edit linear PCM and MPEG compressed audio. The PAW 120 supports BWF file format for integration into radio automation systems.
The recorder’s microphone offers connection for a mono or stereo external microphone, including phantom power. A switch activates Automatic Gain Control.
