AES 140 Adds Nicol as Speaker, Opens Early Registration

Conference will take place in Paris from June 4–7

The Audio Engineering Society has released a pair of announcements about its upcoming AES 140 International Convention. Spatial audio expert Rozenn Nicol has been tapped to deliver the Richard C. Heyser Memorial Lecture. In addition, early registration for the convention has been opened.

Nicol, a spatial audio research engineer at Orange Labs, will give a lecture titled “The Immersive Audio Revolution: From Labs to Mass-Market.” In it she will address major developments in spatial audio, which will go with the immersive audio theme of the entire convention. The lecture will take place on June 4 at the Palais des Congrès.

The AES has also announced that it has opened early registration for the convention. Attendees can register for either the free “Exhibit-Plus” badge or premium “All-Access” badge. AES Member and student discounts apply. Early registration will be available until May 19. To register, click here.
