An AES convention panel this week will explore how the new Media Networking Alliance will support adopters of AES67.
“AES67 (after AES/MADI) is to the audio industry what VoIP (after ISDN) is to the telephone industry,” organizers wrote in their preview material.
Bill Scott of Bosch Communications Systems will chair the Friday session, which will include participants from Yamaha, Lawo, Telos and QSC Audio. It is part of the Networked Audio track.
The panel plans to summarize AES67 as well as the purpose of the Media Networking Alliance, which aims to encourage adoption and interoperability of the standard.
The AES convention starts Thursday and will be held in Los Angeles, for the first time in more than a decade.
