AGM Picks Up FMs From Univision in New Mexico

Groups trigger multiple station swaps

American General Media will buy four New Mexico FM stations from Univision Corp. while divesting several others.

According to broker Kalil & Co., a contract was signed and an application is being filed for the transfer of FM stations KKSS and KKRG, both in Sante Fe, as well as KIOT in Los Lunas and KJFA in Albuquerque, all from Univision to AGM.

To comply with ownership limitations, AGM will then sell KJFA to Vanguard Media LLC. It will also shed several other signals: KAGM in Los Alamos is sold to VCY America Inc. and KDLW in Los Lunas goes to BB Broadcasting LLC.

American General also will donate KHFM in Santa Fe to KHFM Community Partners, which plans to convert the 95.5 license to non-commercial.
