AIR, FSN Standardize With Amb-OS Receiver

The AMR-100 technology lets stations receive programs from satellite to an Amb-OS receiver, which is a fully functional FTP site.

Amb-OS says Ambassador Inspirational Radio and Focus on the Family Satellite Network will use its AMR-100 receiver to provide programming.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The AMR-100 technology lets stations receive programs from satellite to an Amb-OS receiver, which is a fully functional FTP site. Broadcasts will only need to be transmitted once; they’ll be captured and stored in the Amb-OS receiver.

Amb-OS says the receiver “self-cleans” by removing older programs that are no longer needed and “self-heals” by “back-filling” missing satellite transmitted packets. It also accommodates for power loss, and eases customization for stations.
