AIRcorp Changes Flight Plan

Jim Loupas stops production of his mic processors, plans a move in ‘new direction’

AIRcorp, a microphone processor manufacturer, is changing its business direction after 18 years.

Jim Loupas, its proprietor, said the company is “is presently facing changes, as are so many of us who love and work in the broadcasting and related industries.” He writes to colleagues that “there is no viable option but to end production of the 500PH and 500TV lines as they presently exist.”

Current users of those processors will be able to turn to ACC Electronix, the OEM, for repairs, as long as parts supplies remain stocked. That company is at (309) 454-4900.

Loupas has indicated that AIRcorp is working on a related project: “We are presently working on an exciting direction that promises to make the unique features of the AIRcorp microphone processors available again in the near future. We will release details on the future AIRcorp technology as soon as possible.”
