Ala. Broadcasters Association Adds Workshops

Engineering Academy also introduces one-day seminars

The Alabama Broadcasters Association will introduce two new three-day workshops focusing on Advanced Radio and Television Engineering. The radio workshop will be held March 9–11, 2015.

It will aim to prepare engineers to take the SBE Certified Broadcast Radio Engineer exam. Featured instructors will cover station and system design, installation, trouble shooting and maintenance.

The ABA has also schedule several new one-day seminars, including “IP Fundamentals for Broadcast” (May 9), “Art of Live Audio Mixing” (June 20) and “Engineering Day at ABA Convention” (Aug. 15).

Also, the ABA will hold its next Radio Broadcast Engineering Class the week of Feb. 16–20, 2015, at the ABA training center in Hoover, Ala. The course is free, although students who wish to take SBE Certification exams must pay a fee. The course will be repeated July 13–17.
