Alaska Public Media Taps New CCO

For new gig, Linda Wei will move from Music City to the Last Frontier

Alaska Public Media has hired Linda Wei to serve as chief content officer for the Public Broadcasting System/National Public Radio affiliate organization.

Wei is the current director of digital strategies for Nashville Public Television in Tennessee, and she also serves as chair of PBS’ Digital Media Advisory Council, according to the announcement. She has worked in public media for 15 years, and in 2016 she was named a Next Generation Leadership Senior Editorial Fellow, during which time she “was embedded with ‘Frontline.’”

“Her skills, experience, and commitment to local storytelling fits perfectly with the multiplatform content strategy Alaska Public Media has embraced,” AKPM CEO/General Manager Ed Ulman said in the press release.
