W.C. “Cris” Alexander is recipient of the Broadcast Engineer of the Year Award from the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
He’ll be honored at the annual SBE meeting in Madison, Wis., in October.
An SBE member for 23 years, Alexander is director of engineering for Crawford Broadcasting and a long-time contributor to Radio World. He writes the column Engineer’s Corner in Radio World Engineering Extra; he’s the second RW contributor recently to receive notable SBE recognition. Last year John Bisset was named SBE Educator of the Year.
Alexander is a member of the national board of SBE and its certification committee; he is certification chair of Chapter 48 in Denver.
