Allen Named Market Manager for Clear Channel Raleigh

CC Twin Cities’ KFXN/KFAN extends contract with Dan Barreiro

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Raleigh has chosen George Allen as its new market manager. In this role, he is responsible for the market’s strategies, programming and sales initiatives. 

Allen joins the Raleigh, N.C. cluster from Clear Channel Cleveland, where he served as director of sales and was later appointed captain of the automotive category for all of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. He has over 18 years of experience in the radio industry, including time as a local sales manager and general sales manager for various stations in the Cleveland market.

Clear Channel Raleigh owns and operates WKSL(FM), WDCG(HD), WRVA(FM), WDCG(FM) and WRDU(FM).

Clear Channel Minneapolis’ sports radio duo KFXN/KFAN(FM), has signed a multiyear contract extension with host Dan Barreiro. Barreiro will continue hosting weekdays from 3–6:30 p.m. on KFAN, in addition to broadcasting on the Fan Radio Network, which includes more than 10 stations throughout Minnesota.

Barreiro has been hosting the Bumper to Bumper show on KFAN and the Fan Radio Network since 2002 and has been on the air at the station since 1992. Prior to joining KFAN, he was a sports columnist for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

“Dan has been the top evening drive talk personality in the market for decades and has many loyal listeners all over the country through iHeartRadio,” said Gregg Swedberg, vice president of programming, Clear Channel Minneapolis.

Clear Channel Minneapolis owns and operates KDWB(FM), KTCZ(FM), KEEY(FM), KFAN(AM), KTCN(AM) and KQQL(FM).
