Alpine Electronics, Inc. has been added to Ibiquity Digital Corp.’s stable of receiver manufacturers that have licensed Ibiquity’s IBOC DAB technology. Alpine will integrate Ibiquity’s IBOC technology into aftermarket receivers slated for launch in 2003. Alpine will demonstrate IBOC capable aftermarket products at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2003.
Ibiquity also has licensing deals with Kenwood, Harmon Kardon and Visteon. In the future, Alpine will integrate IBOC technology into receivers for automotive manufacturers.
