Ham radio operators want the public to know amateur radio is vital, especially during a disaster. Much as terrestrial and satellite radio have launched public awareness efforts, so now are the hams.
The American Radio Relay League has created a PSA campaign (listen here) to make the public aware of ham radio’s vital role in homeland security and disaster response. The PSA was produced and voiced WABC(AM), New York’s Johnny Donovan.
