American Public Media is making changes to its “Marketplace Tech Report”and “Wits” programs in order to enhance the organization’s business and entertainment programming.
“Marketplace” special correspondent and recent host of “Marketplace Morning Report” — David Brancaccio — will add host of “Marketplace Tech Report” to his duties.
Brancaccio will continue to be based in New York City and will be positioned to follow the burgeoning tech activity up and down the East Coast, according to APM.
“By combining ‘Marketplace Tech Report’with coverage from Marketplace’s technology correspondent on the West coast, we will be able to offer listeners a more comprehensive look at the tech world,” said APM SVP/GM Judy McAlpine.
The current host of “Marketplace Tech Report,” John Moe, will be able to devote all of his efforts to “Wits,” Minnesota Public Radio’s two-year-old show that features storytelling and musical performances. APM hopes to syndicate the show nationally. Moe had been hosting both shows.
The changes take effect Sept. 10.
