XM has snagged two of public radio’s signature shows.
It plans to add American Public Media’s “A Prairie Home Companion” and “Marketplace” to the XM Public Radio lineup. PHC will air live Saturdays from 6 to 8 p.m. with repeats during the week. “Marketplace” will begin airing weekdays at 7 p.m. ET beginning Monday, March 5.
Also to air on XM: “The Story,” “Weekend America,” “Sound Opinions” and “Performance Today Weekend.” The satcaster already carries APM’s “Air Talk,” “Pipedreams,” “Speaking of Faith,” “Saint Paul Sunday,” “American RadioWorks,” “The Writer’s Almanac” and “Composers Datebook.”
