Looking to tap into enthusiasm for soccer, Sirius is adding some international flavor by signing Barclays English Premier League soccer for its slate, including games by Manchester United, which has been described as the world’s richest sports franchise.
Sirius has a three-year agreement to carry the games with TWI, broadcasting arm of sports marketing agency IMG. For the current season, broadcasts began this past weekend and will continue through May.
Barclay’s English Premier League encompasses 20 clubs in the U.K. including Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
