Radio revenue was flat in April compared to the same month last year; so says RAB, which said the local ad sales component, which is the largest piece of the radio revenue statistic, was also flat.
National ad business dropped by 2%. Non-spot revenue grew 6%.
The industry is evolving, said RAB President/CEO Gary Fries, with growth on the horizon due to “recently introduced technologies, programming formats, and advertising platforms take root and propel the industry forward.”
