APT said the Institute of Export for Northern Ireland has chosen the Belfast-based data compression company as recipient of its Exporter of the Year Award for 2002.
APT's managing director, Noel McKenna, received the award from Jim Stewart, chairman of the Institute of Export in Northern Ireland, at an awards dinner in December.
"It recognizes the tremendous effort of our team to travel the world and generate exports to countries as far apart as Korea, Japan, Taiwan, USA, Canada, Middle East, South Africa and Europe," McKenna said.

We felt that we should do our bit to help Oxfam with the important work they are doing around the world to help poor people build a better future for themselves," said APT Managing Director Noel McKenna.

"In recent years, we have grown significantly both in size and maturity and we felt a strong need to update our logo and corporate identity to reflect this," said Noel McKenna, chief executive of the Belfast, Northern Ireland-based firm.
