APT Notes Sale to Danish Station for IP Network

Syddanske Medier chose the codec for use in a new, countrywide, IP audio distribution infrastructure.

APT reported a sale of its WorldNet Oslo audio multiplexer platform to Syddanske Medier station Skala FM, part of the Orkla Media group.

Syddanske Medier chose the codec for use in a new, countrywide, IP audio distribution infrastructure.

“The new Point-to Multi-point STL system employed by Syddanske Medier is based on an MPLS IP Broadcast Network and enables the distribution of individual program feeds with insertion of local news coverage, commercials and RDS data,” according to APT.

The WorldNet Oslo will integrate with a Dalet playout system and AVIT-Systems C-Net RDS technology. AVIT-Systems distributes APT equipment in Denmark.

The station purchased nine systems, all with duplex audio modules to enable them to monitor and record the return signal as required by Danish law.
