Audio Processing Technology said it inked a deal with KTC Technology. The licensing agreement lets KTC use Soft apt-X, the software version of APT’s data compression algorithm, in new products.
KTC Technology markets software for use with Computer Concepts DCS/Maestro systems, offering them under dcsTools.com and through dealers. Its most familiar product is ReeLogger, a PC-based digital audio logging system. KTC is incorporating Soft apt-X into Xtractor, its CD ripper software, and its Xplay audio player for DCS/Maestro. The company said it is considering adding Soft apt-X to ReeLogger.
