APT said a remote broadcast from the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland by WQXR(FM) used the WorldCast Eclipse audio codec.
The WorldCast Eclipse delivered 24 bit stereo audio over an ISDN link. Station Chief Engineer Rodney Belizaire said it’s the second year WQXR has participated in broadcasting from the Festival.
APT said the Metropolitan Opera in New York is using a WorldCast Eclipse codec.
Harambe will represent APT WorldNet and WorldCast hardware codecs.
APT says it will debut the WorldCast range of IP-based audio codecs. WorldCast Horizon and WorldCast Meridian are the first products in this series, which features IP connectivity as its core functionality.
APT said the consortium of German public broadcasters chose APT’s WorldNet Oslo as its standard platform for 5.1 audio contribution and distribution between member states.
APT will show its WorldCast Eclipse IP audio codec in Charlotte.
APT said it has supplied several WorldNet Oslo codecs to TP EmiTel for distribution of stereo radio programs throughout Poland.
APT plans to unveil the WorldCast range of IP audio codecs for broadcasters.

Asahi Broadcasting Corp. in Japan has purchased APT WorldNet Oslo codecs.
