KCHZ(FM) of Ottawa, Kan., and KMJK(FM) of North Kansas City, Mo., have been purchased by Lew Dickey’s CMP KC Corp. for $16,750,000. The Class C1 stations were previously owned by W. Lawrence Patrick, president of AR Broadcast Holdings.
Both stations, serving the Kansas City market, are Class C1. KCHZ is 98 kW and KMJK is 100 kW.
AR Broadcast also sold Beaumont, Texas-based KFNC(FM) through broker Patrick Communications to Gow Communications. Gow already has several Houston-based sports talk stations. The deal gives AR Broadcast $5,050,000 cash at closing for the 100 kW station that reaches the Houston market.
