Media Monitors has linked its verification service to the Arbitron Portable People Meter ratings.
PPM has the promise of showing stations minute-by-minute ratings. With a service called Audience Response, Media Monitors aims to show subscribers exactly how their audience reacted to program material that airs.
The service was demoed in December at an Arbitron meeting for radio programming consultants. In the demo, attendees could see when audience tuned in and when they tuned away from a station — and what was airing at the time.
Now, Arbitron and Media Monitors say they have a contract for the service and that Audience Response complements RCS GSelector music scheduling technology. Audience Response is available for the Philadelphia and Houston markets and other PPM markets as they launch.
