Arbitron Inc. has promoted Ronald Kolesar to vice president of Technology, Worldwide Portable People Meter Development.
Mr. Kolessar has more than 30 years of experience in the electronics industry and played a role in the design and development of PPM, a new audience measurement system undergoing market trials in Philadelphia. As the new vice president of technology he oversees the development of all of Arbitron’s encoding technology,. In addition, he is also responsible for monitoring all technical activity within the radio, TV, cable and satellite industries.
Mr. Kolessar was previously the director of technology for Arbitron. Prior to joining the company he held engineering and management positions in technical development and marketing arenas from microcomputers to supercomputers.
