Arbitron plans to enlarge the sample size for its Las Vegas market surveys.
It will recruit an additional 400 participants for its quarterly surveys of radio listening in the Las Vegas radio metro market. Beginning Fall 2006, the sample target for the Las Vegas radio market will increase by 20 percent from 1,980 persons age 12 and older to 2,380 persons.
Since the Las Vegas radio metro has a population of approximately 1,438,600 persons age 12 and older, each participant in the expanded Fall 2006 Arbitron radio survey in Las Vegas is intended to represent approximately 600 radio listeners, the company said.
Area broadcasters – Beasley Broadcast Group, Entravision Communications, Kemp Broadcasting, Lotus Broadcasting, Riviera Broadcast Group and Univision – have agreed to share part of the costs of the increased sample size, the audience research said.
