ALC NetworX has announced that A.R.G. ElectroDesign, a U.K.-based maker of digital broadcast network equipment, is the latest to sign on in support of the Ravenna media-oriented digital network technology.
Of most interest to broadcasters is ARG’s Stagebox, an Ethernet switch aimed at the broadcast market. It has eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and is now compatible with Ravenna networks.
ARG Sales Director Paul Higuera said, “Ravenna is an excellent example of a real-time media IP network environment for which our Stagebox switch has been specifically designed. We are excited about the opportunity to support our customers as they transition to Ravenna and to be part of the wider growing interest in IP Media networks.”
