The Hispanic Federation, a membership organization of 94 Latino health and human services agencies, is urging the FCC to approve the satellite merger.
The group said satellite radio provides news, information and entertainment for Hispanic Americans with an emphasis on Latino programming “unheard of on commercial radio,” including CNN en Espanol, ESPN Deportes and Mexico Canta.
Hispanic Federation joins the League of United Latin American Citizens, Latino Coalition, New York State Federation of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, National Black Chamber of Commerce and League of Rural Voters in supporting the merger.
